For days I’ve thought about doing this. People at work talk about blogging; each of my editors has a blog linked to their individual departments. So, I should try this. And here I am.
I chose gramswrites.wordpress.com because that is who I am and what I do–a grandmother who writes. It just seemed to fit.
My oldest grandson is named Will, actually William Allen; he will be 7 May 18, 2008. He is such a great young man; so tender hearted, and of course, he is very smart in school. (Aren’t they all?) His infectious laugh stirs my heart every time I hear it. The only sad part is that he lives about 500 miles away in South Carolina. Visits are few and far apart, but oh, how special we try to make each one. I love him very much.
His younger brother is feisty little Neil. Born premature, and subsequently small in size, God made up for it with a quick tongue and a rambunctious personality. Always the daredevil, he will be payback for his dad, Brian, my son. He has just turned 5 and I can’t wait to see him again. He is a joy just to watch as he maneuvers through his day. I love him dearly.
Ellie is the princess of the family. Just turned 2, she is the daughter of my youngest son, Chris. Blue eyes haloed by blond curls, she is a delight to watch as she learns quickly to wrap her dad around her little finger. She is coming for a visit next weekend, and I am looking forward to seeing her. I haven’t seen her since Christmas and it is time. She calls me Gaams. She’s my sweet girl and I love her so much.
I think this is enough for my first blog. As I learn to find my way around this thing called blogging, I will improve, I’m sure. Grams writes often and on various topics so expect more next time.
